Now Low Cost Arduino Thermal Camera

Image
Do you still remember the H1N1 outbreak in Asia? The manifestations are usually flu-like symptoms which includes fever, cough and colds. The best way to detect fever when people are arriving from the affected areas was to use a thermal camera. These were widely used in Asian countries especially on airports but not all can afford one because it’s very expensive. We can all agree that this is the greatest deal ever! A thermo-cam which costs around 100$, now there is no reason it can’t be bought by even poor countries to help prevent the spread of the disease. Credit must be given to inventions like this because it’s really a big help.

LED Camera

The process mentioned below shows how we can convert the LEDs to the light sensors so that it can be used for many other purposes also. Read on to know more about this. As the Blinkenlight Shield has 20 of them, 20 pixel camera can be developed by it. After performing the experiment, it is recommended to reset the jumper setting to default. LED or Light Emitting diodes usually act as the photo diodes and are optimized to produce the light. LEDs can be used to make the light detectors that can be helpful in various conditions. The idea behind this is to reverse bias the diodes by turning the IO pins to output low so that the LEDs used will act as capacitors and will not be conducted. The current produced due to the LED is very small, and the photo current produced discharges the LED capacitors. After charging, the IO pins have to be switched to high Z so as to generate the light. The light produced and the current are directly proportional to each other. After the discharging o...

Android 4 4 1 Landing soon and Fixes Nexus 5 Camera

Image
Android 4.4.1 landing soon and fixes Nexus 5 camera . The Nexus 5 from Google is quite an awesome device, however its camera isn’t the greatest. Even though the Nexus 5 ′s camera features a optical image stabilization, taking shots from it are painfully slow and generally out-of-focus. Google is aware of this and as per The Verge, a new update scheduled to be released in the next few days fixes a lot of issues with the Nexus 5 camera. They’ve managed to get a hands-on experience with Android 4.4.1 and here is what they have to say: Speed is a theme for the update, and the Nexus 5 ′s camera really does feel faster across the board. The app launches a full second quicker than it did before the update, meaning you’ll miss many fewer shots than before. There’s also a new progress indicator in HDR+ mode, which makes the process, longer by necessity, feel a lot more straightforward. It’s the first of what Burke says will be a series of interface changes, as Google tries to make Andro...

Train Mounted Camera Battery Charger Circuit Diagram

Image
This Train Mounted Camera Battery Charger circuit will keep the battery for a train mounted camera charged and will shut the camera off after a few seconds when power is no longer applied to the track. The circuit is designed for DCC systems and the battery is essentially used as a capacitor as it is not allowed to become discharged. The battery also controls the voltage to the camera as any current passed through R1 that is not needed by the camera is shunted through the battery . This is an inefficient but cheap way to control the voltage.  Train Mounted Camera Battery Charger Circuit Diagram

Sony released the camera Sony Alpha 7 II

Image
Sony has unveiled an updated version of its full-frame digital SLR camera Sony Aplha 7. Model ingeniously named A7 II. The camera has received 24.3-megapixel matrix with five-axis stabilized by shear matrix that can compensate for camera shake up to 4.5 CIPA standard stops. Also, the device is equipped with a system that synchronizes stabilization system in the housing with built-in stabilization of the E-series lens with optical image stabilization. Parameter ISO can vary from 100 to 25 600, and through image processing achieved Bionz X 117 pixels for detecting a phase 25 of measuring points and contrast. At the same time, the increased productivity enabled Sony engineers talk about a 30% increase in speed autofocus and a 50% improvement opportunities object tracking. The shutter can operate at speeds up to 1/8000 of a second, and in the mode serynoy speed shooting up to 5 frames per second. Video Unlimited 1080p at 60 k / s with the AVCHD codec and XAVC S. There are built-in modules ...
