Make an Efficient LED Emergency Light Circuit

Image
The article describes a very simple homemade emergency light circuit that can be used during power failures and outdoors where any other source of power might be unavailable. The circuit uses LEDs instead of incandescent lamp, thus making the unit very power efficient and brighter with its light output. Moreover, the circuit employs a very innovative concept especially devised by me which further enhances the economical feature of the unit. We know that LEDs require a certain fixed forward voltage drop to become illuminated and it is at this rating when the LED is at it’s best, that is voltages which is around its forward voltage drop facilitates the device to operate in the most efficient way. As this voltage is increased, the LED starts drawing more current, rather dissipating extra current by getting heated up itself and also through the resistor which also gets heated up in the process of limiting the extra current. If we could maintain a voltage around an LED near to its rated for...

How to Make an AVR Perform Multiple Tasks

Image
This article describes a way to create an AVR perform multiple tasks. Beginners who want to urge an in-depth information in AVR assemble language programming will seek this project. The assembly language helps to utilize all the functions and capabilities of the processor. browse on to grasp a lot of. The most vital and major functionality of an operating system is performing multiple tasks on the CPU. what's being done here is time sharing multitasking which too on an AVR. An Atmega32 is ready up to perform Round-Robin Multitasking. Quasi-parallel execution of multiple tasks is feasible through Round-Robin Multitasking. The tasks are time-sliced and don't seem to be tired parallel. The project demonstrates how the switching mechanism is finished between seven individual tasks. The RAM is split between the amount of processes that are running. A timer is employed here and a trigger is executed when it reaches a compare worth. the required registers are pushed onto the stack. No...

How to make a USB Li Ion charger

Image
Li-ion cells become more and more popular due to their capacity and reasonable prices. In this entry I will present how to build a simple li-ion battery charger based on MCP73831 chip. It’s a quite useful device for DYI projects,in addition its cost is only around 1,5 euro. The device uses USB port as a power supply (mini-USB connector). I use the standard gold-pins as an output socket. There’re three of them, but only two are used (looking on the image, counting from top: V+, V-). I will design my li-ion based devices in the same way (same socket, but female), then if I will connect it in the incorrect direction (rotated 180 degrees) they won’t be damaged (V- connected to V-, but V+ connected to n/c pin) – simple way to avoid plugging in an incorrect way. Make your phone battery last longer

Image
Running out of battery at the most inconvenient moment is a situation that happens more often than we would like. The services currently offered multiple cell phones lead to a continuous drain on the battery , having often upload at the end of the day as if our smartphone need rest as much as us. To try to make the battery last us a bit more, we offer these tips: 1. The screen is ample, which consumes more energy on our phone. Therefore, avoid looking at every minute cell would be to start with the best advice. Adjust the screen brightness will also help us better power consumption. Likewise, it is advisable to reduce the consumption of games, watch videos, or even record and take pictures. All these applications have a high battery consumption, and if what we want is that last a little longer, we have to reduce the time spent on these activities. 2. Any service to determine our location, such as GPS, it should be disabled if not in use at that time. There are many services th...
